As a man thinketh in his heart; so is he. Proverbs 23:7

"Rejoice in the Lord alway: [and] again I say, Rejoice.

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord [is] at hand.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things. " -Philippians 4:4-9

Hi Patti! I'm back.. .. goood to see you're keeping up the good work :) .. I've been drawing regularly too - but somewhat lacksadaisical - it's sooo hot in the south of France!

Does it matter? said...

Jon,
Always good to hear from you.

Figure drawing is going very well but I am growing to the point that I need to take some control. I need to have the model better lit and I would like to control the poses. Until I have that, I cannot produce any real finished art.

I am constrained at this moment time wise so I have had to settle for model time in class. That really isn't going to change for a while due to circumstances beyond my control. I am truly ready to begin painting but that is not possible for now.

I try to do what I can and post as I can. Thanks for returning. Patti

Yeah, time is a problem - if you're itching to paint - that must be frustrating. I don't know about getting control of the poses/model set-up - It'll be quite a few months before I'm even ready to do live drawing sessions - and anyway I can't find any so far.

Sure hope you do break out - be sure to at least keep you hand in meanwhile! Best
